термин, употребляемый для описания анализа математических функций или физических сигналов по отношению ко времени (time-domain analysis); при анализе во временной области значение сигнала или функции определяется для всего временного интервала в случае непрерывного времени или для разных отдельных моментов в случае дискретного времени. Для визуализации реальных сигналов во временной области обычно используется осциллограф.
